AMAC Programs National and International: National - The Professional Development Project: The Professional Development Project is national in scope and is geared towards the development of individual artists and art groups within the membership. The activities that constitute the core of the national project include Canada - wide tours, conference organization and attendance as well as festival participation. Conferences dealing with aspects of professional development will be organized for the benefit of individual musicians, art groups or bands residing within Canada. An annual festival intended to showcase a diverse range of musicianship and instruments will be organized. This will expose hidden talent that would otherwise go undiscovered, and enable the organization to achieve its main objectives. International - The project also has an international component: AMAC will facilitate and support musicians travelling to international conferences, tours and seminars. This is aimed at enhancing their professional development and broadening their market base. |
